The big news is all about some trips
away with jim and other artists, firstly to NORFOLK
ISLAND and
later this year to FIJI !
FIRST things FIRST .... The Norfolk Island trip is a special

MEANWHILE....
Well Tamworth is behind us and what a great festival it was!
The Big Bush Brekky show had a new format and everyone loved it! Ashleigh
Dallas and Melanie Dyer joined Rustling Russell to form a great trio
and we had a lot more musical fun with some new songs and some old songs
revived.
Darren carr and Dr Hans J Odderbitz were hilarious and I enjoyed doing
some of the old favourite stand-up routines as well as the songs.
Now onward and upward with 2010 !!
PORT FAIRY MUSIC FESTIVAL is
coming up very soon -
- and I will be there doing some Morning shows with Paddy Ryan and Peter
Mace as well as some themed concerts and workshops with Paddy, Peter and old
mate Dennis O'Keefe.
We are going to do a themed concert
on AUSSIE RURAL HUMOUR called
'The Real Dad and Dave' and evidently Dennis and I will BE Dad and Dave
for the afternoon!!!! We are also launching my new HUGE verse collection
for kids and doing a workshop on the history of children's poetry.
• I am really looking forward
to the MOUNT BEAUTY FOLK
FESTVAL in the Snowies - 23, 24, 25 APRIL
• and this year sees the revival of the QUEENSLAND
COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS at the Charters Towers
Festival 30th April - 2nd May....VERY EXCITING news that the
QUEENSLANDERS will be back on the Country Music agenda with a beaut
new trophy in the form of those lovely old QUEENSLANDER houses!
• FIJI TRIP - How about joining myself, John
Williamson, Jonah's Road and that lovable scallywag Ashleigh
Dallas in FIJI in the first week of AUGUST?
